February Poverty 101

  • Journey Museum & Learning Center 222 New York Street Rapid City, SD, 57701 United States (map)

The Poverty 101 Session explores the dynamics and myths of poverty for attendees from all sectors and fosters a shared understanding of poverty. The Foundation is addressing the broader spectrum of poverty – think about your child care provider, the friendly face at your local coffee shop, or that hardworking colleague: employed but still not able to make ends meet.

Life as a low-income family is an abstract concept for some and a harsh reality for others. Through our outreach activities, we invite people from all sectors to better understand view our community through a different lens, one that considers the barriers our low-income families face and how we can all collaborate on solutions.

This session is hosted by the John T. Vucurevich Foundation in collaboration with Palecek Therapy and Consulting.
