Forces Of Flight Fridays

"Kick the tires and light the fires!"

Forces of Flight is a program designed to introduce youth to the world of aviation. Learners will be exposed to several activities that will help them understand the four forces of flight (lift, weight, thrust and drag). These activities include water propelled rockets, solid-state rockets, remote controlled paper airplanes and X-Plane flight simulators.

The intended audience is for grades 4-8 and advanced learning is available for older students.

Parents are welcome but not required. Program takes place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Rapid City Area School District early release Fridays.

Spots are limited, so call (605)394-6923 to save one for your aspiring pilot or astronaut!

Forces of Flight is free with your daily admission or annual membership to the Journey Museum.
