Welcome to a spook-tacular Halloween adventure where we’re going to build and launch a levitating "jack-o-lantern"! We will create a spooky pumpkin that floats in mid-air, thanks to some cool science tricks. As we assemble our jack-o-lantern and set it up for launch, you’ll learn about the fascinating science behind lighter-than-air flight and how it can make Halloween even more magical. By the end of our fun-filled lesson, you’ll not only have a fantastic floating pumpkin but also a new appreciation for the science behind the magic.

Two program times are available, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Programs are intended for elementary and middle school age groups. Parents are welcome but not necessary for students ages 8 and above but are required for students under 8.

STEAM is FREE for museum members or included with admission for non-members.
