STEAM Saturdays: Explore Stratobowl History and Predict the Weather

  • Journey Museum & Learning Center 222 New York Street Rapid City, SD, 57701 United States (map)

Welcome to the exciting world of weather forecasting!

We are going to become weather detectives and learn how to predict the weather using simple tools and observations.

We’ll explore how to read weather maps, use instruments like thermometers and barometers, and understand weather patterns like clouds and wind. By learning how to gather and interpret weather clues, you'll be able to make your own forecasts and see how science helps us understand the ever-changing sky.

Get ready to have fun with weather and become a young meteorologist with your very own weather predictions!

Two program times are available, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Programs are intended for elementary and middle school age groups. Parents are welcome but not necessary for students ages 8 and above but are required for students under 8.

STEAM is FREE for museum members or included with admission for non-members.

Space is limited, so call 605-394-6923 to save a spot today!
