Learning about stratigraphy is like becoming a detective of Earth’s history!

Imagine peeling back layers of time, just like opening a giant geological cake.

Students can embark on hands-on adventures, creating their own sedimentary layers using colorful sand or soil, discovering how each layer tells a story about past environments. By examining fossils and minerals, they’ll piece together clues about ancient life and climate changes.

This interactive exploration not only reveals the fascinating processes that shape our planet but also fosters critical thinking and observation skills. Every layer is a portal to the past, igniting curiosity about the world beneath our feet!

Two program times are available, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Programs are intended for elementary and middle school age groups. Parents are welcome but not necessary for students ages 8 and above but are required for students under 8.
